Evolution is thoughtless, lazy and imperfect - and that is exactly why it works!

"Normally you are unable to see DNA with the naked eye, because it is so small! You can actually only see it during one moment in time: when you're working as a researcher in a laboratory. I really thought that was a shame... So, my artistic side came up with something and I developed a method. Now, I know how to 'capture' the fleeting moment that the DNA is visible as a small cloud in my own mini-lab and home studio, such that I can immortalize it especially for you. To be held dearly in a unique DNA necklace, for example!"

It's all in the little things!

It's all in the little things!

Through my online shop I sell handmade items, mainly jewelry inspired by nature and biology. There are also options to incorporate authentic DNA into a so-called keepsake item, for example as a personalized gift. I can do this using your DNA, but also that of pets or your favorite flowers, for example.

Do you have a specific wish or have you become curious? Please feel free to reach out to discuss the possibilities. You can do this via the form below, or via the contact page.

DNA keepsakes

As a geneticist, I naturally find DNA very special: it makes all life unique, but at the same time also related.

I make DNA, which is normally not visible to the naked eye, visible to you and incorporate it into a piece of jewelry or other ornament. This way you have a unique keepsake of your pet or a loved one. Who wouldn't want that?!

Find out more about the possibilities by completing the form.

Disclaimer As a biologist, I naturally care about biodiversity, the natural environment and a healthy environment. I try to be as environmentally friendly as I can to keep Wild DNA's ecological footprint as low as possible. For example by...

  1. First of all, to work as a speaker and as a maker in order to educate a broad audience,

  2. By giving presentations & training online where possible/desirable, instead of traveling to distant places,

  3. By working with a 'no-waste' policy when it comes to the polymer (=plastic) clay that I use,

  4. by using better / eco-friendly packaging (without bubble wrap, for example),

  5. By informing buyers on how they can best store the products, so that they can be more sustainable,

  6. By informing buyers about how best to throw away or reuse their products,
