Inmiddels ben ik alweer bijna vier jaar bezig met mijn promotieonderzoek naar een DNA afwijking bij kam- en marmersalamanders. Ik mocht daar deze week over vertellen bij Villa VdB op NPO Radio 1. Ik reisde af naar de studio voor wat uiteindelijk een ontzettend leuk, live gesprek werd over het salamander raadsel, mijn passie voor 'scare-acting' rondom Halloween, en de beschermde status van de wolf.

English summary:

I have already been working on my PhD project about DNA mutations in crested and marbled newts for almost four years now. This week I got an opportunity to talk more about it in a Dutch show, Villa VdB, on NPO Radio 1. I traveled to the studio and found myself in a very nice, live conversation about the 'salamander mystery', my passion for 'scare-acting' during Halloween, and the conservation status of the wolf.
